Kim B.

Kim B.

Practice Manager

Kim knew at a young age that she’d end up working in a field dedicated to animal welfare; it just took her some time to get there! Today, she is proud to be Hambright Animal Hospital’s Practice Manager.

Kim got her foot in the door of the animal-care profession by taking a job with a mobile veterinarian, then moved into numerous roles in specialty and emergency medicine while continuing to volunteer in animal shelters. It wasn’t long before she transitioned into the world of general practice!

Kim and her growing family settled in North Carolina in 2018. She was thrilled to join the Hambright Animal Hospital team in 2019 and looks forward to continuing to help the pets and their pet-parents! Kim loves to work behind-the-scenes to keep everything running smoothly here at the hospital, and knowing that she’s contributing to something much bigger than herself is the ultimate reward for her.

When away from work, Kim enjoys hiking and camping, discovering new restaurants, snuggling her three rescue pups, and reading.

Danielle C.

Danielle C.

Client Service Manager

Before becoming a veterinary professional, Danielle worked in sales for several years but didn’t feel completely satisfied. She felt a calling to take her career in another direction—it wasn’t long before she realized that her true path involved animals. Danielle hasn’t looked back since. Now, she’s a proud member of the Hambright Animal Hospital family!

Danielle was born in Charlotte and grew up in Concord, North Carolina. After her time in the sales field, she got her foot in the door of the animal-care world by signing on at another nearby animal hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and front-desk receptionist. After living overseas in Chile for a year—and then volunteering with an animal rehabilitation center in Costa Rica for two months—Danielle returned to the States and signed on here at Hambright Animal Hospital in the fall of 2018.

Away from the office, Danielle likes traveling, longboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding, visiting local breweries, and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband live in Concord with their cat, Mishki, whose favorite pastime is finding new and creative ways to wake up his parents. Danielle and her husband are also excited to welcome their first child into the world in the very near future!

Natalie K.

Natalie K.

Technician Manager, RVT

Natalie grew up right here in Huntersville with her parents, two sisters, and the family dog, a Cocker Spaniel named Sunshine. For her, animal care has always been a part of life—there was never a need to consider another career path! Natalie has worked with pets professionally ever since she was in high school, and she’s proud to now serve as a Registered Veterinary Technician and Hambright Animal Hospital’s Technician Manager.

Natalie began her veterinary journey at a doggy daycare facility, then began working at an animal hospital in Dilworth. She received her credentials in veterinary technology from Gaston College. Next, Natalie dove headfirst into emergency care in order to advance her knowledge base and skillset. After four years, she decided to return to general practice and joined the Hambright Animal Hospital team as soon as the clinic was opening its doors for business. Natalie has been a member of the family ever since!

Here at the clinic, Natalie loves communicating one-on-one with pet owners and giving them a great experience each and every time. She’s also passionate about training her team, educating other departments, and helping her team members grow as veterinary professionals and as individuals.

When she’s not at work, Natalie enjoys traveling with her husband—they hope to visit Hawaii, Indonesia, and Thailand in the near future!—and spending time with her pets at home. Both of her animal companions have only three legs: Kiya, a Labrador mix, was adopted by Natalie as a four-week old puppy with a broken leg, and Kevin the cat was surrendered to the emergency facility Natalie worked in with a front-leg wound. Natalie nursed both back to health and has been doting on them ever since!

Angie

Angie

Client Service Representative

When Angie was eight years old, her mother allowed a mother cat to stay with the family for the night. That cat ended up giving birth to six kittens. After that experience, Angie knew that she wanted to learn all she could about animals. That passion never left! She’s been helping pets all her life, and she couldn’t be happier to do it as a part of the Hambright Animal Hospital family.

Angie was born in New Jersey but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was 19 years old when she first started volunteering in animal shelters, further cementing her desire to help pets professionally. At 21, Angie started working in the veterinary field, and she’s been an animal-care professional ever since. When the time came to work closer to home, Angie found an opening here at Hambright Animal Hospital in the fall of 2020—the rest is history.

As a part of the clinic’s Client Services Representative team, Angie makes it her mission to help each and every visitor to the hospital feel comfortable and welcomed. She loves to multitask, and she finds that her job always keeps her on her toes!

Brittany knows firsthand the deep bonds we share with our animal companions. She’s always wanted to help nurture those connections for others. Working in the world of veterinary medicine allows her to do just that! Brittany is a proud member of Hambright Animal Hospital’s Client Services Representative team.

Brittany joined the team in April of 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. Her favorite part of the job is talking one-on-one with clients. She could listen to fun pet stories all day long!

When she’s not at work, Brittany likes hiking, going on long walks with her dogs, and spending time with her family and pets. She and her partner, Robbie, share their lives with two dogs: Khloe, a Poodle/Chihuahua mix who loves cuddling up to watch TV with her parents, and a crazy Pit Bull mix named Mo who wants to play with anything that moves.

Cameron

Cameron

Client Services Representative

When Cameron was growing up, she spent most of her summers with her grandmother, who lived on a lot of land with a barn. As is often the case, that barn became a safe haven for countless cats, which Cameron would feed every morning as part of her daily chores. Being able to spend time with all of those furry friends sparked a love of animals that would continue to grow as Cameron got older. Today, as a customer service rep here at Hambright, Cameron has turned her passion for pets into a career!

Cameron was introduced to the veterinary industry by her sister, who has worked in the field for more than fifteen years. When a spot opened up at the clinic her sister worked at, Cameron jumped at the chance to get her foot in the door. After recently moved to Charlotte, Cameron knew she wanted to stay in the industry, so she joined the Hambright Animal Hospital team in May of 2023. Professionally, she enjoys building relationships with clients and earning the trust of their beloved animal family members.

Outside of work, Cameron is happily married and mom to a young son. She also has one fur baby of her own – an orange tabby named Triscuit. In her spare time, Cameron enjoys reading, traveling, and attending concerts.

Rebecca

Rebecca

Client Service Representative

When Rebecca joined the Hambright Animal Hospital team, she was no stranger to the animal care industry. After the pandemic forced her to pivot her career path, she transitioned from pet boarding into the veterinary field. As one of our Customer Service Representatives, Rebecca gets to continue doing what she loves most in life – helping people and working with animals.

Outside of the clinic, Rebecca resides with her fiancé, Brad, their two parakeets: Huey (who loves to mimic R2D2 whistles) and Marty McFly; and their Aussie-doodle, Louie, who is full of energy and always ready to play.

Rebecca’s hobbies include stand up paddle boarding, hiking, spending time outdoors with Louie, and crafting. She recently started sculpting miniature figures out of polymer clay as a pastime during COVID and it has become one of her favorite things to do indoors.

Adria

Adria

Registered Veterinary Technician

Adria moved around a lot while she was growing up, and the one constant she could always count on was her family pets. They were her very best friends in the world, and she’s always known that she wanted to give something back. For Adria, working to better the lives of pets and their owners every day is a dream come true! She’s a proud member of the hospital’s Veterinary Technician team.

Adria attended school in Delhi, New York and then worked in animal hospitals in Saratoga and Syracuse, as well as a clinic in Ulster, Pennsylvania. Upon moving to North Carolina, she helped pets in hospitals in Weddington and Charlotte before joining the team here at Hambright Animal Hospital in 2017.

Adria was thrilled to once again join forces with Dr. Marguerite Gleason after working with her at another nearby practice, and she’s particularly fond of client education and dentistry work. Most of all, Adria loves learning new things and hearing fun pet stories from the area’s animal owners.

In her free time, Adria likes reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She has two cats, Eugene and Meeko, both of whom were adopted after they were brought into Hambright Animal Hospital for care, as well as two dogs. Eva is a Great Dane puppy who thinks she is a lap dog, and MayBell the Beagle/Corgi mix is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy.

Bailee

Bailee

Registered Veterinary Technician

Bailee has adored animals ever since she was a little girl. She always wanted to acquire more knowledge to know how to better read the pets she came across—that’s why she decided to pursue a career in animal care. Now, Bailee gets to help pets hands-on as a Registered Veterinary Technician!

Bailee is a North Carolina native and attended Gaston College to study veterinary technology. After exploring various areas of the veterinary profession—including emergency medicine, general practice, and mobile clinics—she was referred to Hambright Animal Hospital by an instructor of hers. That was in March of 2021, and Bailee has been a valued member of the clinic family ever since!

As a Tech, Bailee enjoys educating the area’s pet owners on the best care techniques for their animal companions. Medically, she loves catheter placement, blood draws, intubating and preparing for surgery, and much more. Above all, Bailee likes knowing that she’s able to make a lasting impact on the lives of the community’s families.

Bianca

Bianca

Registered Veterinary Technician

Bianca was seven years old when she adopted her first kitten. Caring for her childhood pet—who lived to be 19 years old—made one thing very clear to Bianca. She wanted to help pets live as long as possible by working with animals professionally. Her dream just never quit! Now, Bianca is a Registered Veterinary Technician with the Hambright Animal Hospital family.

Bianca is from Virginia and attended Virginia Commonwealth University to study biology, graduating in 2015. Next, she applied for Veterinary Technician school and started working as a Kennel Assistant during her studies. It wasn’t long before she was helping pets hands-on as a Veterinary Assistant, and then she became a Technician and moved here to North Carolina. Bianca joined the Hambright Animal Hospital team in July of 2018 and has been a member of the family ever since!

Medically, Bianca is passionate about senior pet care and enjoys helping pet owners make the most informed decisions regarding their older companions. She’s also fond of surgical work and loves to monitor pets under anesthesia.

When she isn’t helping pets here at the clinic, Bianca enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, going to the gym, running, and doting on her own pets at home. She and her husband share their lives with three pets: Oakley, a Golden Retriever who has never met someone he doesn’t like, and two food-obsessed cats who go by Mango and Marsha.

Cari

Cari

Registered Veterinary Technician

Although she’s had a lifelong love for animals, Cari wasn’t always sure what career path she wanted to take. She started college as a biology major and started to explore her options. When Cari stumbled across the Veterinary Technician profession, she knew that she had found her true calling! She’s been caring for pets professionally ever since.

Cari is from a small town in Connecticut and studied biology at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She earned her Veterinary Technician credentials from Gaston College, graduating in 2001, and launched her career in this area. Having previously worked with Dr. Houghton at another local hospital, Cari jumped at the chance to join forces with him again—she knew that she wanted to get back into general practice after working in emergency care and teaching at a local college for several years. She’s been a member of the Hambright Animal Hospital family since May of 2018.

As a Tech, Cari enjoys anesthesia work and caring for older animal patients. Above all, she loves to meet and greet new pets and animal owners on a daily basis, and she never gets tired of knowing that she’s able to make a lasting difference.

Cari’s interests away from work include going on hikes in the mountains, raising her son, and spending time with her dog at home. She is the proud owner of Luke Skywalker, an Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix who loves exploring the great scenery of North Carolina at every opportunity.

Jessica

Jessica

Registered Veterinary Technician

Growing up on a farm in Denver, NC, Jessica has always known she would one day pursue a career in veterinary medicine. A naturally shy person, she found it difficult to make friends when she was younger. To compensate for this, she turned to her family pets. Animals have always been a comfort to her, and now, as a veterinary technician, Jessica is honored to help our clients develop and strengthen the bonds they share with their furry family members.

Jessica’s career journey began at a local doggy daycare. From there, she moved on to work at a different kennel and daycare facility. During this time, she enrolled in Gaston College’s Veterinary Technician program. While attending classes, Jessica took a job as a veterinary assistant at an emergency vet clinic. When this environment became too overwhelming, she decided it was time to transition to general practice. Jessica joined the team at Hambright Animal Hospital in March 2022, and hasn’t looked back since!

Clinically, Jessica enjoys working in the lab – in particular, reading ear and skin cytologies and running bloodwork. Using these tests to piece together the puzzle and reach a definitive diagnosis is incredibly rewarding. Jessica also has a particular knack for comforting patients who are anxious, drawing inspiration from her childhood cat Whiskers, who was terrified of the vet. In Whisker’s honor, it’s her goal to make visits with us as positive and stress-free an experience as possible.

At home, Jessica and her fiancée have a dog and two cats of their own. Beau, a hound mix, loves to stand on his hind legs and is always generous with his daily hugs. Ellie is an extremely smart kitty who knows three tricks: sit, paw, and roll over. Ember is very social and warms up to pretty much anyone. Jessica also counts her parents’ goat, Lady BaBa, as part of her extended animal family. Lady BaBa doesn’t know she’s a goat, though. She thinks she’s a dog.

In her spare time, Jessica can typically be found relaxing at home with her family. She and her fiancée also enjoy playing old-school video games and exploring new hiking trails with Beau.

Kayla

Kayla

Registered Veterinary Technician

While Kayla always loved animals, she hadn’t thought of pursuing a career in the veterinary field. That is, until she was around 19 years old, and her puppy contracted parvovirus. The compassionate care the veterinary staff showed her dog inspired Kayla to do the same for other people and their pets, and the rest is history. As a registered veterinary technician, Kayla is making a difference in the lives of people and pets every day!

In 2015, Kayla started tech school at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College while also doing kennel work at a local clinic. Upon graduating in 2018, she moved back to the Charlotte area where she completed her externship. She spent a couple of years at a low-cost spay/neuter clinic followed by another few years in general practice before finding her place at Hambright Animal Hospital in September of 2023.

Professionally, Kayla has a special interest in laboratory work, because looking at samples under the microscope gives her a glimpse at another world hiding in plain sight. She also has a knack for putting herself in her patients’ shoes (or paws) and helping to make them feel a little less scared.

At home, Kayla has one fur baby of her own: a Yorkie mix named Leia, who survived parvo as a puppy. Leia doesn’t like other dogs because she thinks she’s a human. Kayla also helps take care of her mom’s cat, Percy. If you don’t watch him closely, he’ll try to eat anything, including potato chips, salad, and dog food.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys singing in the community choir and is currently re-learning how to play piano.

Tabitha

Tabitha

Registered Veterinary Technician

Growing up in Pennsylvania, Tabitha’s best friend in the world was her Golden Retriever mix. Making sure he was happy and healthy, and visiting the vet’s office frequently for his skin issues, sparked her own interest in the field of veterinary medicine. Tabitha’s passion simply never quit. Now, she helps pets daily as a Registered Veterinary Technician!

Tabitha attended her local vocational school to study in the Veterinary Assistant program, then moved on to the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. After graduating with her Veterinary Technician’s certification, the job market in Charlotte attracted her—she moved to the area shortly afterward and has been here ever since. Tabitha joined the Hambright Animal Hospital Team in January of 2021.

Medically, Tabitha enjoys internal medicine and oral care. She’s also passionate about educating pet owners so that they can take the very best care of their animal companions at home.

When she’s not at work, Tabitha likes spending time outdoors, playing a variety of instruments—she plays the ukulele, piano, guitar, banjo, drums, and even sings!—and spending time with her dog. She shares her life with Millie, a goofy pup who knows an incredible amount of tricks.

Jordan

Registered Veterinary Technician

Growing up near Crowders Mountain, Jordan’s family owned several dogs. Watching them get older and seeing them experience age-related health concerns made Jordan realize that she wanted to learn more about how to care for all animals and help each and every fur-baby live their best possible life. That desire would follow Jordan into her teens and adulthood, ultimately culminating in her becoming a veterinary technician. Today, she is thrilled to be living her childhood dream and loving every minute!

Prior to joining the Hambright team, Jordan volunteered at a local animal shelter. That experience solidified her desire to work with animals and support their wellbeing. From there, she joined a general practice in Gastonia and began her career of caring for pets in a medical setting. Jordan then attended the veterinary medical technology program at Gaston College and graduated in 2022. She became a registered vet tech in 2023 and was welcomed into the Hambright family shortly thereafter.

At home, Jordan has a few unique pets of her own, including a cute jumping spider, a shy tarantula, and several GloFish who live for mealtime. One of Jordan’s favorite hobbies is learning aerial, something she’s been practicing for several years. She also does trapeze and silks and has performed her skills at several local festivals. Jordan’s other pastimes include Xbox gaming, sipping chai tea lattes at local coffee shops, researching subjects like the Titanic and Bigfoot, and visiting the Great Smoky Mountains.

Amy never gave up on her dream. Now, she’s a Veterinary Assistant!

Originally from Falls Church, Virginia, Amy launched her veterinary career in 2007 after some time working in retail. She applied to an animal hospital in hopes of becoming a front-desk receptionist, and was lucky enough to be trained on the job to become a Technician. She’s been helping pets in that capacity ever since! Amy joined the Hambright Animal Hospital family in the summer of 2019 when she wanted to learn more about advanced dentistry. Aside from her interests in oral care, she’s particularly fond of working with senior pets and helping them stay comfortable as they age.

It wasn’t long before she’d signed on at a small kennel operation just outside of Wilmington, North Carolina, expanding her experience in the animal-care world even further. When she moved to this area from Wilmington in October of 2020 to be closer to family, she started looking for her next opportunity. Now, Alexis is proud to help pets as a part of the Hambright Animal Hospital team!

Jenny

The emotional experience made her realize what she really wanted to do with her life: work with animals. As a Veterinary Assistant, Jenny gets to do what she loves most each and every day!

After finishing school at the Institute of Technical Arts, Jenny landed a job at a veterinary emergency hospital, where she worked for five years. She then relocated to Concord, NC where she worked in general practice for about a year before moving to her current home in Huntersville and taking a position here at Hambright Animal Hospital.

At work, Jenny enjoys getting to be a voice for animals and helping to provide answers to their loving owners. Having been a pet parent herself, she understands all too well how frustrating it can be to not know what to do when your loved one is sick. Being able to provide help and comfort to others during those difficult times is incredibly rewarding.

In her spare time, Jenny enjoys hiking, drawing, binge-watching television shows and traveling. She and her older sister Jaclyn have visited several European countries together and hope to one day cross Japan off their travel bucket list. Jenny doesn’t currently have any pets of her own, but she plans to adopt in the future, whenever that special one happens to find her.
